Eliant is proud to announce the home-builder winners of the “Eliant 2010 Home Buyers’ Choice Awards,” in partnership with Newport Beach, CA-based Real Estate Temps.

Based on over 60,000 surveys conducted across the county in 2009, new-home buyers provided statistically significant ratings of 146 major home builders. The awards listed below recognize home builders which continue to view the ‘customer experience’ as integral to their firm’s goals.

The top national award - “The ELIANT” – has been given to the two highest rated home builders based on 2009 ratings of the three “Key Measures” questions (i.e. Overall Quality; Builder Met Commitments; Customer’s Willingness to Refer a Friend):

The “ELIANT”: Overall Purchase & Ownership Experience

  • Single division home builder: Rosewood Homes – Scottsdale, AZ
  • Multiple division home builder: MBK Homes - Irvine, CA
All other awards have been given for home buyers’ satisfaction with key categories of the purchase and ownership experience. The five categories include:

  1. The Purchase Experience (on Move-In Survey)
  2. The Construction Experience (on Move-In Survey)
  3. First-Year Customer Service Experience (from Mid-Year and Year-End Surveys)
  4. First-Year Quality (from Year-End Survey)
  5. Highest referral rate (from Move-In Survey: “Were you referred by a friend?”)
In these categories, awards have been given to builders in each of three ‘size’ segments based on 2009 closings:

  • High Volume Home Builders or Divisions: >250 homes closed
  • Large Home Builders or Divisions: 100-249 homes closed
  • Medium Home Builders or Divisions: <100 homes closed
Winners of the “Eliant 2010 Home Buyers’ Choice” awards are based only on scores from all surveys received from January 1-December 31, 2009, regardless of closing date.
